Meet Dr. Tony Cruz-McLeod
Dr. Cruz received his bachelor’s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University. From there, he attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now known as Rutgers School of Dental Medicine) and completed a general practice residency at Kings County Hospital Center in his hometown of Brooklyn, New York. During his residency, Dr. Cruz encountered hundreds of clients with various dental phobias. He has dedicated himself to implementing gentle and efficient techniques to dispel these fears. Dr. Cruz’s favorite procedures are aesthetic cases (Invisalign® aligners, veneers, gold inlays and onlays, etc.) and pediatric dentistry. He attends the Pankey Institute to receive advanced dental training to continue to provide his clients with quality dental care.

In 2022, Dr. Cruz was one of the selected honorees for the Forty Under 40 Mover & Shaker Awards. The Forty Under 40 Mover & Shaker awards are bestowed annually to 40 individuals under the age of 40 who have shown a strong commitment to the Hudson Valley. A selection committee composed of former honorees judge nominations based on professional and community achievements. They score each nomination independently of each other and the Chamber, and the scores are then tallied to determine the Top 40. Neither the Chamber staff nor any sponsors or partners influence the judging in any way. The awards ceremony, which is open to the public, is a celebration of these individuals and their accomplishments.
Outside of dentistry, he enjoys exercising, coaching local football and basketball teams, and spending time with family and friends. Since relocating to the Hudson Valley, Dr. Cruz has enjoyed visiting local landmarks and experiencing everything the area has to offer.
